Work across the various West London Mission Projects:1. Partner with another social project worker at St. Luke’s Hub to provide financial resilience advice, help fill and submit benefit/Universal Credit application forms and represent clients on phone calls to the Department of Work and Pensions, Lambeth and Southwark Councils and various debt collecting agencies.2. Volunteer at Seymour Place Day Centre that provides various services for homeless people and rough sleepers. Work closely with the team to provide Universal Credit advice and operate and run the food bank and donations. Work closely with doctors and nurses from the NHS that are based in the Day Centre at set times.3. Volunteer at night shelters run by churches (Hinde Street and Kings Cross) and homeless services (Friday Club at Kings Cross).4. Worked closely with Kings Cross Methodist Church to provide support for Chinese migrants in London.Reviewed individuals and families on a case-to-case basis in order to direct them to the relevant help needed (i.e.: advice centres, solicitors, chambers)Assisted with the UK Visa application forms for individuals and families that could not afford legal help.
