    As a Teacher Intern at Aghaaz over two summers, I taught the subject of Character Building to children between the ages of 8-16. The lessons were structured around the themes of personhood, personal and human rights, mental health, empathy and tolerance with the aim of giving the children the necessary tools to feel connected with the emotions they feel, their sense of self and an understanding and respect of the diversity of the others who surround them.
