Reporting to the Finance Director and heading up one of the 4 streams of the Finance department, I was responsible for establishment of the Financial Systems function and development and enhancement of Mubadala's financial systems across the other 3 streams of Financial Planning and Analysis, Transactions Processing and Statutory / Financial Reporting. The Financial Systems function that I led was the key interface between Finance and IT for any IT requirements.Achievements included:1. Establishing Financial Systems function and resourcing teams responsible for Oracle support, Hyperion Support and Finance Projects and putting together and managing the budgets for the function.2. Implementing period close procedures in Oracle ERP.3. Implementing online invoice approvals. 4. Project manager for HFM system implementation used for financial consolidation over 100 entities and used as the primary source of monthly management reporting.5. Entity migration project including COA standardization from legacy ERPs / Excel to our core Oracle ERP. 6. All aspects of team coaching, developing and management including annual performance appraisal.7. Implementing budgeting and management reporting via Hyperion systems.8. Partnered with IT to deliver dashboard reporting via QlikView.For the high priority and high profile HFM implementation, I was responsible end to end including RFP preparation, vendor selection, project management (and oversight of external implementation team, contributing to solution design), communications with stakeholders (multiple internal stakeholders as well as external such as subsidiaries that would be using the system), setting project governance including Steering Committee meetings (at C-level incorporating Group CFO and CIO), provision of training to all users including external subsidiaries and post go live support. This project was hugely successful and facilitated faster group consolidation and management reporting.
