Relying on the pretrained DNABERT DNA language model (a Transformer Encoder model), Ifine-tuned a regression model for DNA sequence data accompanied by numerical labels. I usedan attention score aggregation algorithm to interpret and visualize the attention mechanism ofthis model, and was able to rank the significance of differently sized k-mers in the sequencedata according to the predicted sequence scores and aggregated attention scores.
