I led one of the relief and rehabilitation projects in southern Sri Lanka shortly after the Tsunami (December 2004). Initially, I was in charge of distributing relief aid to tsunami-affected communities, and later, I was in charge of livelihood development projects within four divisional secretariats in Sri Lanka's southern province, while managing a portfolio worth USD80 million.
