I am Yamini Bhat, currently based in Birmingham, Alabama. I am fluent in French and have a diverse background in education and project management. As the Founding Executive Director of Birmingham Corps, I have over five years of experience in leadership roles, including my time as City Corps Senior Manager at Baltimore Corps and Manager of Special Projects for the City of Birmingham. My teaching experience ranges from being an 8th Grade English Teacher in New Orleans to coaching corps members with Teach For America in Nashville. I hold a Bachelor of Arts in International/Global Studies from the University of Alabama at Birmingham and a Master of Education in Curriculum and Instruction from Lipscomb University. My passion lies in fostering educational equity and developing innovative teaching strategies.
