• Design experiments and analyze point cloud data for LiDAR performance characterization and requirements verification. • Interface with integration engineers and perception engineers to triage LiDAR field issues. • Work with engineers in different areas on failure analysis and provide the feedback to improve the design or manufacturing process. • Automate system-level reliability testing using Python. Transfer the LiDAR reliability testing to the overseas contract manufacturer.

• Develop hardware (analog feedback circuits, laser and optical systems) and software (timed sequence in Labview, python, and bash) for ultracold quantum gas apparatus, and identify the root cause of faults in the systems. • Analyze and characterize the source of the noise for laser systems and magnetic field control systems using spectrum analyzer, oscilloscopes. • Design and implement low-noise intensity control system for one dimensional optical lattices, which improves the noise by 15 dB/Hz at the frequency of interest. • Design and build a temperature controlled cooling system for the high power laser, with a dedicated interlock system using Arduino and Labview. • Calculate the kinoform imprinted on the laser beams to achieve the desired trapping potential using python with Mixed-Region-Amplitude-Freedom algorithm. • Design and implement a low-noise magnetic field control system for magnetic Feshbach resonance experiments, which improves the field stability by 500%. • Analyze data using python and c++ for atomic fluorescence, absorption and phase contrast images.
