As an investigative reporter, court reporter and reporter covering world derivatives markets--each an eight year stretch--I won virtually every major award for journalism excellence, including a Pulitzer for my role in shutting down two for profit Chicago hospitals that were engaged in widespread Medicaid fraud and patient abuse.Subsequently, I co-founded a North Michigan Avenue firm, O'Connell & Crawford LLC, which served a wide variety of clients, i.e., Fortune 1000 CEOs, derivatives markets in Chicago and New York, candidates running for local, countywide and statewide political races, to name a few.I am a published author whose latest book freed a wrongfully convicted man from prison where he had been serving a 37 year prison terms for a double homicide he did not commit.
