    The Finance & Leasing Association is the leading trade body for the asset, consumer and motor finance sectors in the UK, and the largest organisation of its kind in Europe.I work closely with the FLA’s membership to define and promote a sustainable and responsible consumer credit sector to Government (primarily to the Financial Conduct Authority, HM Treasury and the Financial Ombudsman Service), consumer groups, and the research community. My current policy specialisations include creditworthiness and affordability issues, collections and recoveries, and debt advice policy. In addition, I am responsible for the FLA’s consumer vulnerability program and the FLA Lending Code, an industry code of practice for consumer lending.

    My work at the Department focused on strategic policy and planning, public sector reform and improving regulatory practice. Key work included:Membership of the review team for the Shergold Review, an independent review of Australian Government processes for the development and implementation of large public programs and projects; and,Supporting the design and delivery of the National Review of Environmental Regulation, an election commitment comprising coordinated reviews of environmental regulation across Australian jurisdictions.
