Leads the Forever Maryland’s efforts as the statewide voice and advocate for land conservation by supporting the efforts of Maryland’s state and local land trusts, landowners, and conservationists. Forever Maryland has positioned itself as the leading Maryland-focused public charitable organization dedicated to encouraging a broader interest in preserving and protecting the state’s cherished natural resources through education, advocacy and outreach. Responsible for the launch of a new nongovernmental organization operating as a public charitable foundation focused on statewide land conservation. Engaged in donor and Board relations; development of key organizational documents (e.g., business plan, articles of incorporation, and by-laws); program oversight (Keep Maryland Beautiful grants and a statewide conference) and the logistics associated with the launch of the Foundation. The Forever Maryland Foundation is a bold organization that will enhance and advance land conservation in Maryland through education, outreach and advocacy.

Communications/Outreach: Develop and administer a year-round communications program designed to advance the Trust’s statewide focus on land conservation and the acquisition of conservation easements. Responsibilities include the design, writing, and production of all print and digital marketing materials (e.g., brochures, landowner packets, biannual newsletter, and annual report); preparation and distribution of all news announcements and media releases; interviews with government officials and leaders; design and posting of announcements, news, and events on website and social media platforms. Event Planning: Manage events (three Governors’ Receptions for 100 guests at Government House in Annapolis - plan, organize, implement and manage all of the logistical arrangements...Governor’s Citations, Governor’s Briefing, talking points, etc., one Farm to Table dinner for 100 potential donors, one major event at Sagamore Farm, and 10th Anniversary Celebration of the Volunteer Program).
