As the head of Standard Bank's Strategic AlwayOn Programme in Ghana, I was responsible for documenting all IT/Business processes and implementing interventions to improve availability and resilience on critical IT platforms to make reliable and fit for business purpose. This included direct interventions in areas such setting and signing off precise measurable Service Level Objectives and Indicators with all stakeholders and ensuring that the bank's technology was adequately provisioned to meet these objectives. In furtherance, I led the process including tech deep dives to document the state of the systems/services and to determine areas of improvement. I am proud to say that among the many achievements we chalked in the short time that I was in-charge, so much improvements that minimized downtimes on critical systems was achieved. Key upgrades were done to platforms and I also led the implementation of tools such as the Splunk IT Service Intelligence tools to achieve granular observability into business services.
