    • 700 & Above Employee
    • Product Design Lead
      • Jan 2022 - Feb 2023

      • Onboarded and mentored a team of four talented designers. Provided guidance on best practices for the 10-foot user experience and design frameworks, following the "Definition of Design Done" to ensure that our design work met the highest quality standards.• Worked on a cross-shared design repository that facilitated collaboration with three Platform Product Managers and six fully distributed engineering teams. The repository incorporated device and input particularities and included comprehensive documentation and deliverables to ensure effective communication and alignment between all teams involved.• Led the design process of the new Apple TV app from zero to one. This involved planning, breaking down tasks, prioritizing work, defining strategy, scope, and structure, conducting research, and iterating through low to high-fidelity designs.• Oversaw the design process of the strategic features on Living Room devices, including Dub Rendition, International Language Disclosure, Service Unification, User Content Management, and Voice Search.• Facilitated Scrum and Design ceremonies, such as Design Previews, Critique, and Working sessions, continuously collecting and incorporating internal and external feedback to ensure transparent work-in-progress communication.• Established and onboarded the partner teams on a Design Review process to ensure implementation accuracy and lossless user experience delivery. The review process included both a User Interface review, which covered proper alignments, proximities, typography hierarchy, and accessibility, as well as a User Experience review, which covered user flows, navigation, micro and macro interactions, state transitions, animations, and performance.

    • Senior Product Designer
      • Jul 2020 - Jan 2022

      • Designed for and contributed to launching all Crunchyroll-supported Living Room devices, including PlayStation, Xbox, Nintendo Switch, Android TV, Fire TV, and Roku.• Audited and rethought the Living Room Design System from scratch. The new documentation addressed localization issues and vastly improved consistency across the apps. This has had a significant impact, reducing the number of misleading conversations and eliminating redundant work.• Conducted a comprehensive review of the Living Room Apps navigation, including Competitive Analysis, Workshops, and User Research, and proposed a new approach to the navigation, which solved a bulk of user concerns on progressive and regressive navigation. Defined and documented the remote and controller button mapping on all supported Living Room devices. • Reduced the TTI of the most visited application screens – Home and Show by decomposing the app's loading phases to the lowest perceptional segments and documented a user-centered loading logic with a constant eye on performance.• Removed a redundant step in the design process by documenting the RTL mirroring principles on the Living Room apps. By prioritizing principles over pixels, we cut the time required for delivering high-fidelity designs in half.• Refactored the Living Room Product Design repository and consolidated all the deliverables to a single source of truth. Reduced the project weight by 70% and halved the number of Sketch files while increasing the quality and value of the designs and enhancing asset navigation and searchability. All leading to a tools' performance boost of ~200%.• Played a key role in developing an internal design documentation tool that effectively communicated design decisions and complex feature behavior to all stakeholders within the organization.

    • Product Designer
      • Dec 2019 - Jul 2020

      • Led the Crunchylists Skeleton phase, which involved designing extensive feature user flows and laying the foundation for future cross-platform expansion.• Designed a cross-product granular assets loading flow that accounted for all phases and edge cases, from the initial API call to browser rendering, ensuring user-oriented status transparency.• Enhanced the design deliverables structure by creating and integrating a bidirectional naming convention into the workflow, facilitating seamless navigation through deliverables hosted on an extensive design tool chain.• Conducted a comprehensive Web Design System audit to identify improvement areas, contributed to designing the system's most complex and multi-layered components, and developed an improvement plan for structure and naming conventions.
