    After retirement, I fulfilled a life-long dream....to write a book,my memoir, called FIRST LOVE by Violeta Barrett (pen name.) Promoting a book is a full time job, even harder than writing it. I've had a screenplay written which I am currently promoting...(the audio book Is on hold until I find someone with a romantic Mexican accent to read the love letters in my book.)FIRST LOVE is also available in Spanish and both versions are available in softcover, hardcover and ebook. My hope is to see my book on the silver screen one day. Prior to my retirement, I worked 42 years in executive positions in both the public and private sectors, so it surely can be said that I've "paid my dues.".My second book (or third, if you count the Spanish version of FIRST LOVE,) has now been published. The title is ANGEL IN DISGUISE and has received wonderful reviews from both Kirkus Reviews and Midwest Reviews. A Children's version has recently been published.
