Founder and Executive Director (Emeritus) of Trisomy 18 Foundation, a US-based patient advocacy and disease research advocacy association focused on medical research to improve patient outcomes for infants and their families impacted by the chromosomal disorder, Trisomy 18 and related conditions. Trisomy 18 affects 1 in 2500 pregnancies, resulting in high incidences of stillbirths and early infant loss in the first year of life. The Foundation's mission is focused on strategic research investments toward making Trisomy 18 a preventable and treatable condition and ensuring that all parents have access to knowledgeable and compassionate care that respects the humanity and potential of a child diagnosed with Trisomy 18 at any stage of the life cycle.
