This institution was previously known as First City Bank - Corpus Christi. In late-1992 Mercantile Bank N.A. (Brownsville, Texas) acquired this bank. Because of my comprehensive awareness of all services and areas of the Bank, I was tasked with re-establishing the Bank's Customer Service Department, then building and managing the Bank's first Treasury Management Department. This role included development of (i) the portfolio of treasury management services, (ii) systems, procedures and controls, (iii) service pricing and (iv) building and training a staff. Supporting commercial and government clients across the lower-Coastal Bend of Texas.Prior Positions:Vice President - Customer Service Manager (2/1992 - 2/1993)Department Manager responsible for rebuilding the Bank's Customer Service Department following a bank acquisition. Train a new, inexperienced staff on the Bank's systems and processes. Implement procedures for handling a large volume of inbound telephone inquiries and walk-up customer requests.
