    I am a founding Director of onemilegrid where my main role is that of a Traffic Engineer. I am responsible for providing expert traffic and transport engineering advice and design, car parking advice and design, project management and mentoring to our junior staff. I am also responsible for the day to day running of the business including OH&S, HR, and Marketing.As a traffic engineer, I am responsible for the provision of design advice to clients for car parks, roads, intersections, ramps (to basement car parks or podiums), access points and the like. As part of this work I regularly have to find solutions to difficult design parameters including land area constraints, budget, service conflicts, and authority expectation. In addition to design, I am also responsible for the preparation of transport impact assessments, traffic management plans, car parking demand assessments and waste management plans.I am also experienced in the provision of expert traffic engineering evidence for town planning appeals and Planning Scheme amendments. I am regularly asked by various developers and government authorities to provide my expert traffic engineering opinions in relation to the impact of development from a car parking and traffic engineering point of view. The fact that I am asked by both developers and government agencies highlights my reputation in the industry and the value of my traffic engineering acumen.

    Valentine started his career with Cardno (then Grogan Richards) in 2004 as a graduate engineer working through the ranks to be promoted to Associate in 2011 highlighting his ability to grow and develop his professional scope within a short timeframe. A highly organized practitioner and lateral thinker, he connects with clients, external stakeholders and contractors to create exceptional traffic solutions.Valentine's capabilities include assessing a development's impact on parking and traffic, advice in relation to access, car parking design and provision, liaising with relevant authorities to identify potential conflict and reaching agreement on proposals, facilitating traffic engineering assessments, and the preparation and presentation of expert evidence for VCAT and Planning Panels.Valentine possesses a gift for communicating design concepts and procedures in a precise, coherent manner. Valentine was the lead traffic consultant on the Masters (Woolworths) hardware store roll out, providing traffic engineering advice on the majority of applications within Victoria including presentation at Planning Panels and VCAT. The Masters developments have seen Valentine take applications from preliminary design to construction with the majority of applications requiring extensive liaison with VicRoads and Council.

    I was at the helm of the Baden Powell Cricket Club from 2008 to 2014 through one of the most successful periods of the clubs 50 year history. I implemented a number of initiatives to streamline the clubs operations which resulted in a flourishing club with success both on and off the field. The Baden Powell Cricket Club is now a successful club with an enviable member base looking forward to an exciting future.The Baden Powell Cricket Club is a 250+ member sporting not for profit organisation located on the Mornington Peninsula, Victoria, Australia.
