I also support research institutions and rindependent researchers with data collection and review of academic papers to improve their quality.

The project aimed at generating local solutions to restore the former breadbasket of Central Equatoria through social cohesion and early recovery. The project was funded by the Reconciliation, Stabilization, Resilience Trust Fund (RSRTF). I was on a 22 working days contract.

My role was to identify key stakeholders in the security sector, health sector, academics, NGO and humanitarian professionals, community leaders including members of the private sector who were involved in some ways in COVID-19 programmes at their various institutions and levels. I also conducted face-to-face interviews, transcripted them and produced detailed/comprehensive report.

The project I was involved in was part of PhD research (i.e. data collection) which was funded by Swisspeace at the University of Basel in Switxerland. The focus of the research was on former liberation movements like the Sudan People's Liberation Army/Movement that later become a government which is allegedly performing poorly compared to when it was still a guerilla movement. I assisted the lead investigator to obtain data from former liberatior fighters who later become government officials as well as diplomats posed to diplomatic missions in Uganda and Kenya.

I visited and observed customary court procedings at Kator B and Jebel DinkaA courts in Juba and interacted with both court officials and court users regarding case management and public perspective of how the court performs. I also generated weekly reports which guided the project in terms of planning, designing and implementing capacity building interventions which were aimed at strengthening court capacities as well as skilling court users on how to present their cases in court.

I worked with a graduate student from the Mastritch University in Netherlands as research assistant. Our project was aimed at understanding copying mechanisms among school children in post-conflict settings and how - being witnesses of violent armed conflict affects their academic performance as well as childhood development. My role was to conduct face-to-face with children at their schools using a structured questionnaire. I also assisted the lead investigator with data entry, analysis and report writing.
