Project: Structural field testing of a UAV main landing gearDuration: 6 weeks The project aimed: to test if the composite material structure of the main landing gear can withstand the expected impact of a UAV hard landing scenario in operation. A fit-for-purpose test rig was designed and attached to the back of a speeding vehicle to simulate the expected loads and perform the structural test.
