    Originally hired as the Manager of Web Development and then served as the Asst. Director, I am now the Director of Web Application Development & Services within the Center for Information Technology Services since 2002. I created a new web development department at UMB in 2002 and established all the current procedures, development and security standards, coding practices, documentation, training and application development tools and systems that are currently being used at UMB. Due to my efforts, the web department infrastructure has grown from one to nine web servers; during the first two years we also successfully switched from Apache/Solaris environment to Windows; my staff has implemented an enterprise wide Content Management System throughout the campus and I have personally trained and assisted over 300 users to use the CMS for updating/managing websites; both myself and my staff have developed and implemented numerous enterprise wide applications; implemented Google Search Appliance (GSA), developed multiple ColdFusion database driven online applications to manage faculty, staff, student, and alumni information, products/services, and departmental activities which have drastically improved the effectiveness and timeliness of these areas while decreasing costs and staffing needs; integrated functionality within PeopleSoft; developed shopping cart and credit card processing for several areas on campus; implemented and support Word press for Communications Office; redesigned, moved and improved functionality of Dental, Social Work, Pharmacy and Graduate School websites, including developing customized online applications to maintain data that was migrated from Access to Oracle. Implemented current load-balanced web server environment which has improved redundancy, failover and reduced downtime.
