    In collaboration with Chris Warner, Founder of Earth Treks Climbing, we opened the doors of our first indoor rock climbing facility in 1997. My love for the outdoors and climbing began at Outward Bound in my early 20s. I started with Earth Treks as an outdoor climbing instructor and when the opportunity arose to step in and work with Chris to launch our climbing centers, I jumped at the opportunity.From day-to-day operations, to managing finances, to hiring our team, I gained invaluable experience in business that would serve me well in future roles. Chris Warner is the truest of entrepreneurs and when I transitioned to Northwestern, I left a vibrant company having grown it from a two-person company to more than 100 employees. Today, Earth Treks actively employs over 300 climber employees.

    After initially working as a student and an intern for Outward Bound in Minnesota, I joined OB full-time and returned back to the northeast to Hurricane Island Outward Bound, located, at the time, in Maine, Maryland, and Florida.At 24 years old, this experience started me on my journey and love for coaching. In experiential-based learning where controlled and perceived risk is at the forefront, I led professionals in dynamic groups by guiding them to accomplish something they thought was unattainable. It was incredibly rewarding to see adults experience a thrill in nature (canoeing, rock climbing, backpacking, etc.) and teach them how to transfer + translate that learning back into their real life, everyday situations.Outward Bound is a nonprofit educational organization that serves people of all ages and backgrounds through challenging learning expeditions that inspire strength of character, leadership and service to others, both in and out of the classroom.

    Founded by Roland Betts, Silver Screen Partners was a company organized as an alternative-funding source for movies. My primary role was Account Manager to our limited partners. While working here, I earned an Associates Degree in Fashion Merchandizing from the Wood Tobe-Coburn School. Shortly into my studies, I realized that the fashion industry and merchandizing career path was not going to be my long-term play. So, what is typically a two-year process, I earned my degree in nine months.
