Project name: Automated Conversational Agent for Dialogic Storybook Reading - Collaborated with members from IBM Research to build the artificial intelligence-powered conversational agent.- Developed framework for question-answer pairs and benchmark dataset of dialogic questioning to buildchildren’s narrative comprehension skills.- Created over 10,000 question-answer pairs for labeled dataset used to train the conversational agent.- Project funded by Schmidt Futures for $40,000.Project name: Young Children’s Learning with Conversational Agents- Transcribed and analyzed interviews with 31 children to understand their perception of conversational agents.- Assisted in editing a conversational storytelling script to implement in the Google Home by reviewing reading comprehension questions with the research team.- Administered exams to preschool children for the Expressive One-Word Picture Vocabulary Test.- Utilized in a pilot study on a PBS Kids program
