Senior Financial Accountant

Key Achievements:• Incisive Media went through a complete re-structure during 2009 which saw the company go from being privately owed to the bank (RBS) exchanging debt for equity. I did a lot of work around valuing the business based on future cashflow, and also around how we would structure the new debt.• As a part of the restructure I also worked on simplifying the group structure by transferring all the trade and assets of the small companies into one big trading company. This involved working closely with our tax advisers to ensure no tax losses become trapped, then winding up and liquidating the unrequired companies.• Implementing a 13 week short term cash flow model as required by RBS.• Redesigned the monthly consolidation worksheets. Key Responsibilities:• Reporting directly to the Group Financial Controller and CFO.• Management and development of a team of two (one part and one fully qualified ACCA Financial Accountants).• Producing monthly consolidated balance sheets, profit and loss and cashflow statements for Board.• Implementing and maintaining the fortnightly short-term cash flow for internal and external purposes.• Managing external audit and tax compliance, including the filing of 31 sets of Financial Statements by deadline.• Reviewing balance sheet reconciliations.• Winding up and liquidating dormant and non-trading companies to simplify company structure.• Calculating deferred consideration payments.• Overseeing bank covenants are met, interest payments, foreign exchange and term deposits.• Navision Administration, including Hong Kong and USA queries.
