    Responsibilities included quality control, some technical support and news tape operating. The VT Operators also had the responsibility of non-primetime programme prep, which involved tape to tape editing to close or force ad breaks in international shows made to a different break structure to ours. This meant paying attention to narrative, mood and pace in order to disrupt the flow of the episode as little as possible.
