Duties -Set up of HD & SD digital or analog satellite downlink and fiber equipment to receive live to air sporting events -Performing technical check in with the remote production and uplink trucks -Adjusting video and audio levels to industry standards via CrystalVision and VistaLink GUI systems -QC monitoring and restoration of connectivity issues with site EIC, uplink or fiber provider -Monitoring of Harmonix and Motorola statistical multiplexing MPEG compression equipment via GUI system -Routing of master control signals to designated satellite slots and maintaining real time tracking documentation information of all inbound and outbound signals -Monitoring of satellite downlink returns of all Fox cable and broadcast video signals -Assigning, routing and set up of video delay, cross conversion and dolby decoding/encoding equipment -Monitoring and troubleshooting of Harris Netboss GUI system controlling NetVx PLN inter-connectivity -Deciding current feed window extensions on fiber, satellite and PLN with bookings or with Level 3/VYVX -Coordinate & communicate with master control, Network Operations, Network Management and Maintenance departments on any signal changes or equipment issues as they occur -Arranging delivery and pick up of HD encoders between event locations -Installation and set up of satellite reception equipment in the department -Assignment, routing and coordination of closed captioning equipment on inbound live and tape to tape feeds -Providing and reviewing of daily shift reports to management -Staff shift scheduling, performance reviews, time sheets, and training
