    XYZ was founded by Danny Way and long time friend, Tommy Caudill. Originally as a skateboard shop in Carlsbad, California in the summer of 1992.Skateboarding was outlawed in Carlsbad 3 years later turning the Carlsbad skateboarding scene into a dust bowl and led to the demise of the retail stage of XYZ. At this point Danny and Tommy decided it was time to focus 100% on XYZ and it’s apparel, product and its high voltage videos and its powerhouse Skateboarding team. XYZ was born. XYZ instantly became a force to be reckoned with; riders such as Rick McCrank, Danny Way, Pat Duffy, Heath Kirchart, Peter Hewitt, Chris Lambert, Steve-O, Train wreck, Neal Mims, Ryan Simonetti, Bill Weiss, Santee Fe Mike, Justin Bokma, Ronnie Bertino and a slew of others dominated the Southern California skateboard scene along with all other scenes throughout the world. Through the years XYZ has released the most cutting edge skateboarding videos crushing the cooperate medium, utilizing it heavy hitting skateboard family & it’s heavy metal sound tracks. XYZ created films such as Stars & Bars, Meet Your Maker, The XYZ Video & Decade Of Destruction, that are recognized as the most intense, hardcore, brutally entertaining and unsettling films to date. Also though out the years XYZ has created the most cutting edge product designed by skateboarders.
