    At the Bank of China in Rotterdam I was the contact person for Dutch private and corporate clients. I served as a liaison between the BoC and other stakeholders, associations and regulators. Through building relations with (potential) clients, I helped to develop new projects, mainly aimed at Dutch businesses active in China. I introduced BoC services related to trade finance, RMB business and deposit/loan products.

    The Dutch Advisory Council for Science and Technology Policy (AWT) advises the Dutch government and parliament on policy in the areas of scientific research, technological development and innovation.In January 2012 the AWT has published an advice on government policy to stimulate scientific and technological cooperation between China and The Netherlands (http://www.awt.nl/upload/documents/publicaties/engels/a78uk.pdf).In the context of my master thesis at the Erasmus University (Chinese Economy & Business) in cooperation with the AWT, I researched how Chinese firms participate in and affect the Dutch science and innovation system (http://www.awt.nl/upload/documents/tinymce/Artikel-Chinese-investeringen-versterken-het-Nederlandse-innovatiesysteem.pdf). The results are used as input for AWT’s new vision on the knowledge society in an international context.As a follow up to the AWT advise to establish a China platform in the Netherlands, I brought together businesses, educational organizations and (local) government agents to join forces to intensify the cooperation with China in the field of research and innovation.
