    After a brief move back into contract Catering with Ramside catering opening their first site, which was very successful i couldn't settle so went to HC Trodahl working in the contract sales departmentworked on many sales projects ,the Seaburn Swallow hotel and a nationwide deal for the Abby National building Society in Milton Keynes. i was asked my Viscount to work for them so I moved as I have always used the Moorwood Vulcan brand, and it was a large uk Manufacturer

    Worked as Catering Manager at Sunderland Civic Centre responsible for the operation of the staff restaurants, civic receptions, anything from a visiting member of the Royal family ,foreign dignitaries, the Mayoral dinners and regimental functions to 500 lunches daily in the staff restaurant and council private meeting rooms.After a successful period there I was asked to move to the Sunderland British Gas HQ where I looked after the staff restaurant and the functions for the sales department responsible for many High profile diners not just at the HQ but at venues such as Durham Castle etc.

    Worked in various positions starting as assistant cook at Ryhope General Hospital, through to Kitchen Manager at Monkton Hall hospital in South tyneside and Huntersmoor Hospital in Newcastle.Developed many skills with in the healthcare workplace, with hospital specialities being from general patients, young chronic sick to mental health. the kitchen operation included menu planning which 7 week cycle menus including diet integration, buying, staff management and staff restaurant operations. I have a great respect for Hospital caterers and the work they do through very difficult conditions, and I am still proud to be a member of the Hospital Caterers Association.
