Designed and Built Spec Homes in the $600,000 range. The homes were Historic Colonial themed; New homes with Classic Colonial touches. Woodwork included oversized baseboards and Shaker simplicity in trim designs. Wide plank, wood floors flowed throughout each home, with Soapstone farm sinks, and Shaker style cabinets in large farm style kitchens with gas Viking stoves and old style plumbing fixtures. Our fireplace chases were all full height and adorned with great looking stone work. The homes featured high ceilings and tried to incorporate huge old beams traversing the great rooms for greater impact in our look. Butlers pantries were added in every home, which were usually set up for a wet bar and included large pantries in country kitchens. The exteriors featured narrow lap siding with stonework to keep the outside Colonial in character. In essence each house stepped back in time with all the modern amenities.
