    I was sexually molested at the age of twelve by a member of the clergy. By the age of fifteen, I was out of control and a convicted felon. It was only by the grace of God who sent into my life, a high school bookkeeping teacher, a chief petty officer in navy boot camp, a loving Christian mother-in-law, and a Baptist minister that I survived.     In 1998 I found myself unemployed and homeless. This is not what I had planned at age 56. I had sold a successful business three years prior and transitioned into a network marketing business that was growing rapidly. I was blindsided by individuals who decided to change companies and attacked my downline of 250 distributors. When the smoke cleared, I had lost everything and was living in a Salvation Army men's shelter. I ended up on their staff for six years where I met and friended many men who were released from prisons and trying to reenter society. Watching these men struggle with their circumstances and try to survive in an unforgiving society was difficult.In June of 2004, I had the opportunity to join Jericho Commission--an organization that mentored ex-offenders coming from prison and helped them reenter society with the goal of preventing them from returning to prison. It was my privilege to work with churches, community organizations and a successful drug court in serving these ex-offenders and assisting them in changing their lives.
