Managed 45 hourly employees and 3 Production supervisors in all aspects of packaging operation. Operation included; 5 flour packaging lines, 2 bulk truck flour loading areas, and 1 bulk railcar loading area, 60000 sq. ft. warehouse. Total daily capacity was 3 million pounds packed and 100 trucks shipped.Key Accomplishments:• Trained the 3 production supervisors how to manage the operation thus increasing daily output from 25,000 units to over 40000 units. • Reduced Over pack by .25 lbs per unit resulting in a $900k savings.• Created an Excel scheduling tool that reduced the time needed to product the daily production schedule from 6 hours to 45 min. this enabled the location to reduce head count by 1.• Reduced lost time / OSHA Recordable incidences by 75%. • Created a SharePoint tracking tool for safety suggestions. • Managed a “Green” initiative that reduced landfill tonnage from 552 tons to 40 tons per year.

Utilizing VSM, 5s, as well as other Lean manufacturing tools. • Created Project Management, Action Plan, and Maintenance Work Order tools for Packaged Oils division. Project Management tool enable Plant Manager to transfer responsibility of the projects to his subordinates that increased the number of projects completed both on time and on budget. Maintenance Work Order system reduced the open work orders in the plant from 175 to under 50 in a two month period. Was able to train location management how to create these tools utilizing InfoPath and SharePoint, which they then were able to add additional tools without additional resources • Create for Bio Products location Project Management tool that organized and prioritized large (200K+) capital projects that increased visibility and netted an increase in project completion and sustained improvements. Overall net savings increase of 2 million per year. Project was so successful that the entire division was added to the program. • Developed and installed Lean Manufacturing programs, with focus on instilling basic management principles and systematic analysis of production processes, during projects within Cocoa Processing, Soy Refining, Soy Crushing and Bio Products.• Provided one-on-one coaching to Plant and Regional Managers towards the development of a Performance Driven culture.• Facilitated management workshops focusing on leadership, communication, accountability, reasonable expectations, analysis and problem solving.
