Providing clinical advice and guidance for the implementation of digitally integrated medical devices throughout Metro South Health. Presently involved with current and future state assessment and planning for health facilities throughout Metro South Health. This is to support the ongoing roll out and optimisation of the Electronic Medical Record solution. Devices that have previously and are currently within my focus:- Digitally integrated portable/fixed vital signs monitors - Digitally integrated ECG devices- Clinician accessible workstations both portable and fixed - Patient identification band printers- Downtime contingency devices - Pathology label printers - Clinical grade computing hardware- Bar codes and bar code scanners For these devices I am responsible for clinical aspects of:- Device research and world wide benchmarking - Assessment and evaluation - Configuration (Both clinical & technical)- Deployment - Training (e.g Development of quick reference guides, training videos (see below for examples), train the trainer sessions etc.)To achieve the most clinically suitable, safe, and efficient workflows I work collaboratively with:- Device and program vendors - Facility clinical stake holders- Health facilities world wide to leverage their experience- Facility biomedical engineering and IT departments - End users

I was brought into the Medications administration and research support (MARS) project to, - Co-ordinate the review of existing hospital procedures effected by the implementation of the new MARS functionality within the current EMR. - Co-ordinate the development of workflow training videosIn the space of 2 months over 90 procedures were reviewed and those requiring updating identified. The review officers of these procedures contacted regarding this need, and supported with any revision activities deemed necessary. In the space of three weeks, nine training videos were completed from initial scripting to publication.Examples of the training videos I have previously been behind are included in my current employment section.
