    Job Description: Promoted from Project Consultant to GIS Director to Vice President of Geographical Information Systems. Responsible for a team of 6 GIS technicians at this engineering and surveying firm serving the civil and energy engineering sectors. I prepared business plans, participated in business development, and oversaw contract preparation, risk management, staffing, budgeting, technical research, and technical presentations. An active participant in formulating solutions to meet client needs, including product development efforts, I provided an expertise in natural gas pipeline regulatory compliance and pipeline surveys. My role included serving as a project lead and providing support for other departments, including the creation of project descriptions, scope, and budgets, working with Marketing on presentations, and preparing reports. I also developed GIS workflow specifications for natural gas pipeline integrity management processes and geographic data and metadata for DOT high consequence area, class location, and PIC determination submissions.Selected Accomplishments:* Spearheaded the development of a patented/trademarked software as a service (Saas) product (vRIMS) that tracked right-of-way acquisition efforts and imported as-built of pipeline survey data into an enterprise database. Supervised a team of staff and subcontractors and administered a $250,000 budget.* Developed and implemented critical GIS procedures for a gas pipeline class and HCA determination. Contributed to compliance with safety standards and the prevention of costly regulatory fines.* Led the implementation of a natural gas pipe inspection database that improved retrieval of federally required inspection data for engineers and natural gas operators.* Personally prepared and executed a GIS implementation plan for the city of North Kansas City.* Carried out the conversion of an LIS into a GIS for a large gas transmission and distribution company
