    As Director of Project Development at Shift Energy Group, I am responsible for overseeing the development of renewable energy projects from conception to construction. I work closely with internal and external stakeholders to ensure successful project execution, and am committed to driving sustainability initiatives that help our clients reduce their carbon footprint and achieve their environmental goals.Responsibilities:Lead project development activities, including site selection, permitting, interconnection agreements, system design and engineering, material procurement, construction management and safety.Provide technical expertise and guidance to project teams, including recommendations for design and installation of solar systems.Collaborate with internal/external engineering and construction teams to ensure successful project execution.Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including clients, utilities, government agencies, and vendors.Identify and evaluate new project opportunities that align with company objectives, whilst developing custom solutions that meet unique client needs.Develop and implement project plans to deliver renewable energy solutions to clients.Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including sales, engineering, and construction, to ensure project success.Manage project budgets, timelines, and resources to ensure projects are delivered on time and within budget.Work closely with clients to identify energy saving opportunities and Stay up-to-date on industry trends and emerging technologies to ensure our projects are at the forefront of innovation.Stay up-to-date on regulatory requirements to inform project development strategies, including building codes, safety standards, and environmental regulations.Oversee the development of project proposals, including feasibility studies, cost estimates, and project schedules.Lead project meetings to ensure effective communication with project stakeholders.

The company's way of approaching and completing projects was fascinating. Tim reached out and secured an internship position as an Energy & Sustainability Technologist. On the tail end of his practicum, he accepted a full-time permanent position with the company.
