This also includes learning which diagnosis & procedure codes will affect assignment of a DRG and formulating queries to clinicians when I identify the opportunity for potential assignment of these codes. - Assessing episodes against the Victorian Admissions policy to ensure that they meet criteria for admission. - Identifying data anomalies, including potential opportunities to merge episodes or incorrect admission/ discharge dates which can impact on DRG assignment, data and funding, - Keeping up to date with VICC coding Committee and the ACCD coding advice to ensure I am coding in line with the latest advice. - Registering neoplasms with the Victorian Cancer Registry in accordance with legislation and the VCRs established procedures.- Meeting with clinicians to educate them on the importance of complete documentation
