Non-profit organization that coordinates habitat restoration and protection projects in the SE United States. Ecosphere specifically formulates public-private-partnerships (P3s) to implement habitat renovation projects. Numerous P3s have been formulated resulting in the implementation of living shorelines, stormwater water retrofit practices such as LID and bio-swales, and community based ecologically significant habitat improvement projects. Projects range from large scale land form restoration efforts to small, but unique, natural spring restoration endeavors. Many of these projects have subsequently been recognized with awards of Environmental Excellence.
