    In 1991, I moved to Chattanooga. Since that time, The Risk Management Group has provided independent (credit quality) loan review services to community banks. These institutions were located Ohio, Maryland, West Virginia, Virginia, North Carolina, South Carolina, Georgia, Texas and Tennessee. In brief, RMG assesses policy and procedures and accuracy of internal ratings of primarily commercial loan portfolios. Along the way, we offer guidance to banks seeking improvement and especially those that find themselves under agreements with regulators. I provide 35 years of experience and truly enjoy assisting a community bank improve the quality of its loan portfolio, its processes and procedures and to see young bankers grow in their abilities.

    Immediately after college graduation, I commenced as an entry level bank examiner. My education continued as I learned varying banking processes and procedures. This included credit analysis and all types of loans. I advanced to Senior Examiner, which was the highest level of examiner. I led teams that performed reviews of financial institutions ranging from de novo institutions to those with multi-billion dollars of assets. As lead, I was responsible for the review of all aspects of these institutions.
