    This position was a short-term assignment. Audit support and advice was provided during this time period. The audit focus evaluated compliance with FDIC regulatory requirements to include company policy. The two projects assigned involved evaluating the Third Party Vendor Risk Assessment Process requirements and the second examined the Reg O - Insider Loan requisites. The engagement work consisted of planning for the audit, data gathering, and providing conclusions and recommendations. Audit outcome results were provided to the supervisory auditor for his report to management and the Board of Directors.

    In the Loan Review Specialist position I was responsible for administering the bank’s loan review program. This involved providing an independent assessment of the quality of the loan portfolio which consisted of consumer and business type loans. Primarily, I was required to review the smaller business loan relationships and all consumer loans. I also worked in a liaison role for our outsourced loan review vendor which reviewed the largest dollar value relationships of the bank’s business loan portfolio.On a quarterly basis I had to report to the Board of Directors in order to communicate the status of problem loans (Watch List) and the changes that have occurred since the last report. I was also required to develop, maintain, and modify loan review policies and procedures pertinent to the Loan Review Program.These duties and responsibilities focused on the credit underwriting, loan documentation, and compliance standards which were the basis of the safety and soundness doctrine established by the regulators and the bank loan policy.All of these responsibilities allowed me to interact with internal offices such as branch managers, the commercial loan department, and external auditors and regulatory examiners.
