    I was born in Cape Town, South Africa, and have been a Washington DC resident since 1982 and a US citizen since 1987. Before starting a real estate career, I co-owned one of the leading DC-area architecture firms (Adamstein & Demetriou Architects) for over 23 years. My architecture, design, and construction experience, as well as my passion for photography, offers a breadth of experience that led to a successful transition into real estate sales and founding a creative real estate team, Theo & Partners, with TTR Sotheby’s International Realty in 2019.My extensive knowledge of design, renovation and new construction gives me a significant advantage when working with seller and buyer clients. I offer personal attention and smart advice, with a designer's eye and a builder’s sensibility. I assist home sellers by advising on potential modifications and improvements to a property that may produce a greater financial return when presented for sale. In working with buyers, I will search for special properties and will identify which offerings may perfectly suit their stylistic and programmatic needs. These additional services are a value added benefit to my clients. Extensive business experience, combined with my negotiating skills, enthusiasm, and local knowledge results in a well-rounded service.I have served on numerous Washington arts boards, including the Corcoran Gallery of Art, the Washington Ballet, Washington Project for the Arts, and currently on The Studio Theatre’s Real Estate Committee.I'm licensed in the District of Columbia, Maryland, and Virginia and hold the following real estate designations: CIPS - Certified International Property Specialist, SRS – Seller Representative Specialist, ABR – Accredited Buyer’s Representative.
