    • Academic Development Chair
      • Apr 2021 - Jun 2022

As an Academic Development Co-Chair, my co-chair and me are constantly collaborating to further improve and enrich the academic development of our SWE members at UC Riverside. We do so by managing two major events which is The Mentorship Program and Research Networking Night (RNN). The Mentorship Program allows us to pair upper and lower engineering class men into mentorships. This allows experienced students to guide and aid the newer students through their first stages of college which can further blossom into a stronger mentorship that may continue beyond their college years.Secondly, Research Networking Night (RNN) is one of SWE's largest annual events where we hold an evening dinner for undergraduate students to connect with professors and graduate students within the context of research. The main focus of this event is to encourage students to get involved in undergraduate research. We also hold smaller workshops that aid our members's lives in academia such as graduate school panels, alumni panels, study jams, time management, bullet journaling and tutoring.

    • Peer Mentor
      • Jan 2020 - Apr 2021

As a peer mentor for the ASME and SWE Mentorship Collaboration, I provided academic as well as emotional guidance to two of my engineering mentees. I assisted them with their course plan and other questions they had on coursework based on a class that I've previously taken.

    • Professional Development Chair
      • Mar 2021 - Jun 2022
      • University of California, Riverside

As the Professional Development Chair, I help improve the lives of undergraduate Mechanical Engineering students by holding a lot of professional-branding workshops such as resume writing, mock interviews, cover letter writing, and creating an effective LinkedIn Profile. I also update the organization's discord server on a daily basis by announcing the latest internships, and I also do one-on-one sessions with students who request a private review of their resume/cover letter.

  • California Education Learning Lab
    • Riverside County, California, United States
    • Undergraduate Research Assistant
      • Oct 2021 - Jan 2022
      • Riverside County, California, United States

I am a part of a research team who focuses on improving the different aspects of Engineering Education. My team and me create learning modules based on both undergraduate lower and upper courses. We create our own problems based on the course textbook and formulate steps to help students learn the material in a more interactive way by also creating quizzes and pre-class assignments. I also create animations and illustrations for engineering systems to further facilitate an enjoyable and visually interactive learning experience for undergraduate Mechanical Engineering students at my university. The types of courses that I do this research for (so far) are Statics, Engineering Drawings and Design, Mechanics of Materials, and Introduction to Mechanical Engineering.

  • Unmanned Aerial Systems at UC Riverside
    • University of California, Riverside
    • Unmanned Ground Vehicle (UGV) Mechanical Team Member
      • Sep 2021 - Jan 2022
      • University of California, Riverside

      - I worked with a mechanical team in charge of researching the most efficient design for the UGV's payload when dropped at a specific altitude by an Unmanned Aerial System.- I'm currently part of the payload team where it's our job to create a mechanical system to release an Unmanned Ground Vehicle (UGV) from a 150 ft altitude. One of the competition requirements is to ensure that the UGV can make it to point A to point B, unmanned while also making sure the water bottle inside the vehicle won't break.

  • Aerospace Systems @ UCR
    • Riverside, California, United States
    • NASA Micro-g Proposal Team Writer
      • Jun 2021 - Oct 2021
      • Riverside, California, United States

I'm currently on the Micro-g Mechanical Team working on proposals given to us by National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA) on a monthly basis. My team and I discuss possible solutions and create a project proposal based on the project statement. For our summer proposal, we were asked to create a floating device that can send aided materials to astronauts who land on the ocean after returning from space. We proposed a Catamaran ship model which we decided on based on many mechanical aspects such as its physical reaction and interaction with unpredictable wave movements as well as its buoyancy and weight.

      • Long Beach, California, United States

As an Engineering Intern, I worked with the CNC Machinist Supervisor to ensure that engineering drawings abided to specific requests and instructions made by clients. To do so, I used a CAD Software such as SolidWorks to draft Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing (GD&T) Engineering drawings on CAD parts from aerospace companies. I also communicated, clarified, and elaborated upon the properties and details of CAD parts to the CNC Machinists by implementing theories of spatial intelligence. I also ensured that I created clean and informative blueprints for the CNC machinists to easily follow and work with.
