As an enthusiastic and helpful senior student at the university, Ihelped the incoming first year local and international students with adjusting and transitioning from high school to tertiary education. I aided them by helping them find the appropriate academic and social support, locate relevant buildings and services as well as help them navigate their first few weeks at the university. Finally, I liaised with other residence and campus leadership and development structures that I found to be of use to the students, to see how we could improve our value proposition as mentors to them.
