Travel-A-Rama is splitting off Vignetta as they will have a different focus and utilize a different platform. Immersive 3D/4D Augmented Virtual Reality experience for Education utilizing Vizard technology from Worldviz.Travel-A-Rama is an instructor led, teacher-centric game for educators. It is designed to engage the learners in an environment outside of the regular classroom. The lessons are modules that create an immersive environment, using auditory, visual and tactile stimulus. The modules are viewed in 3D on LCD display screens that create depth along with eyewear. The 4D is created through instructor and student participation along with the addition of holograms enabled by outside actors and actresses. The focus is on History, Geography and Government Education, adding these modules as part of required curriculums. Through Travel-A-Rama the students take a virtual trip somewhere, taking place in the past, present or future. These trips may be done instead of or in preparation for a class trip. What differentiates Travel-A-Rama from other companies is that in addition to standard modules custom modules can be designed by the teacher with assistance from designers and programmers. The custom modules are then owned by the school that created them. The objective is to introduce technology to support and enhance existing teaching practices while supporting standard curricula at each grade level.I am currently studying Virtual Reality and Travel-A-Rama as a STEM initiative, evaluating the transfer of knowledge about VR while learning the subject matter. I am also researching immersive environments and how they compare, as well as data that is or can be used to measure effectiveness.
