" If it's the right thing to do, Do It Right"After almost 14 years as VPHR with the Hall’s Group, a well respected warehousing and distribution company, I am now pursuing other opportunities. I have the flexibility to work either on a full time or part time basis as an employee or as a contractor .I have both managed large groups and functioned as the Human Resources Department. I can manage and lead as well as be totally hands on.My assignment preference is in the small to mid-size company as this area combines hands on effort with strategic responsibilities. However, I welcome assignments with any size company. In addition to effectively handing the day to day HR administrative responsibilities including payroll, some of my other areas of strengths are as follows: Employee relations which includes effective communications and the management/leadership of employees is paramount. Legal compliance is key, as being compliant reduces potential third party involvement and has a positive impact on the company’s employees. My employment/recruitment experience is very strong, as I have been responsible for hiring both at the entry level and to the CEO level. I worked in executive recruiting for two years and did place a few company leaders. I have 20 years of successful experience in labor relations and found that effective communications and meetings with company and union leadership created a business environment centered on issues and resolution rather than differences. Effective compensation and benefit strategies, employee learning and development are critical to success. How one presents and delivers these programs to their employees has a direct relationship on both morale and productivity. I stay current with the changing landscape of HR through discussions with my peer group, SHRM, webinars and reading. I have an appreciation of how the multi-generations work together and what impact that has on an organization.
