This assignment involved handling acquisition of a division of a U.S. publicly traded company in 22 countries, as well as resolving general legal issues for acquired companies.

    During my tenure with BAX, a global company, I directed litigation, claims, contracts, compliance, employment, government investigations/contracts, protection of IP, technology issues, mergers and acquisitions, and joint ventures, and also, lead the U.S. real estate department. Driving wider cost effectiveness, I saved on litigation costs and curtailed 50% of all employment-related claims, as well as minimized global attorney fees to .1% of revenue. To improve international tax efficiency, I restructured subsidiary corporations, incorporated a special-purpose finance company, and completed legal work for cash-pooling bank arrangements. I introduced global ethics and compliance policies and training. As leader of the real estate department, I saved $8M annually in real estate-related expenses by reorganizing facilities management and staff for more than 100 leased and owned U.S. properties. Setting the foundation to attract acquisition interest, and BAX’s sale to DB, I was deployed by its parent company, Brinks, to lead the global legal team in conducting due diligence in >100 countries. Managing the legal affairs for BAX, as well as DB Schenker Americas, I merged companies around the world and helped integrate BAX employees into the DB Schenker organization.
