In this strategic role, I work collaboratively across the organization, identifying opportunities for needs analyses, pricing, marketing and sales strategies, innovation, and other activities that support the rest of the team and other revenue generation using my broad-based MBA experience. I am also involved in emerging leader and professional development initiatives, the Workforce Training Grant, the Group Insurance Trust program with Blue Cross Blue Shield of Massachusetts and managing the relationship with our business insurance partner, Dwight Rudd. In 2021, I led the launch of the first national registered Credit Analyst Apprenticeship in the country to increase diversity in banking.

• Provided leadership to members on state and federal regulatory and legislative issues. • Worked on Capitol Hill and Beacon Hill to lobby legislators and educate regulators on behalf of Massachusetts’s banks regarding legislative and regulatory initiatives, and to improve banking industry priorities.• Negotiated settlement with U.S. Dept. of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) regarding Real Estate Settlement Procedures Act (RESPA) violations, which prevented significant civil and criminal penalties for banks (efforts recognized in FDIC Financial Institutions Letter).• Secured long-sought Questions and Answers from HUD on RESPA and Regulation X.• Lobbied Congress on Fair and Accurate Credit Transactions (FACT) Act, bankruptcy reform, consumer privacy, and financial modernization; and lobbied Financial Accounting Standards Board (FASB) on Accounting Rules. • Prepared and presented hearing testimony, organized banker participation to support or oppose state and federal legislation, and wrote positions on federal regulatory proposals. • Developed educational seminars and workshops to help members comply with regulations. • Executed signature annual lobbying event: planned trip to Washington D.C. for ~25 bank executives from MA, RI and CT, arranged visits to Massachusetts delegation members and prudential regulators to discuss reducing bank regulatory burden of banks, and moderated panel of top banking lobbyists to brief participants on legislative and regulatory issues.• Created and launched Required Signage and Policy product, which prevented bankers from receiving fines and penalties for failure to post correct signage in branches.• Served as media spokesman on key issues (i.e. housing policy, bankruptcy reform).
