Focused business to provide full service catering and event management for professional conferences, sales meetings, large private events and weddings. Performed company marketing, hiring and financial planning. Specialized in creating unique themed experiences, such as an elegant holiday party, a “Sock Hop” style 50th anniversary celebration, an education-oriented Medieval Banquet, and multi-cultural wedding receptions. The Farm will be featured in the August 2013 issue of "Discover the Essence of St. Clair" magazine.

Responsible for financial planning and accounting and directed daily operational efforts. Interacted with an international customer base on a daily basis. Met the unique needs of entertainment industry public figures during the Sundance Film Festival.

Created CORE (“Curriculum Options Requiring Excellence”) Academy, a private college-preparatory high school for under-served students in rural Alabama when existing educational options didn’t fill the need. As school administrator was responsible for the overall concept development, financial planning, marketing, recruitment, staff hiring and mentoring, curriculum development and student counseling. Instructor of Chemistry and Economics. Designed the school curriculum across the technical and liberal arts, with a focus on making the course material relevant, interesting and accessible to the students. As an example of the methods used to fostered interest in science, a Robotics Club was created. In the first year of competition our school placed 50 out of 150, while in competition with much larger and significantly better funded programs. Directed the build out of a quality science lab on a shoestring budget. Designed a unique course, “English for Reluctant Writers”, to improve communications skills of struggling students. Incorporated technology to assist students with improvement of spelling and vocabulary in both technical and creative writing.
