Senior Patent Licensing expert at IPR department of headquarter (2004 – present)- Project Leader of several licensing negotiation in patent pool formation.- Case 1: Participated in a patent pool of a private standardizing organization of worldwide fame in the audio-video communication specification as a main negotiator. - Case 2: Participated in a private standardizing organization of state-of-the-art technology in the data communication system. - Case 3: Participated in a world-famous patent pool of mobile communication as a main negotiator. In this case, there are many kinds of problems in not only the program of the pool but also in the licensing agent. I provided other licensors with the improvement plan of the program and the performance of the licensing agent. - Project Leader of several bi- lateral patents licensing negotiation.- I have some experiences of bi-lateral patent licensing negotiation with the patent owner companies. In these cases, I worked as a main negotiator with a team including technical engineer, patent engineer and legal counsel. In such negotiations, there is no definitive landing point, so the important role of negotiator is to find out their target through the discussion and alter the situation to our advantage. To get a success, the magic formula of such negotiation is “ two-step-forward-one-steps-back” .
