    My stint @ OMC Computers [the Pioneer which introduced CAD/CAM to India in the 1980s, though now a defunct Company] began with introducing, streamlining & developing the complete processes & SOPs in the Hardware Customer Support function @ all stages in the country-wide support network--right from the procurement stage [now what we term as SCM] to the last-mile [reaching customers]. A notable achievement of this stint was to take the Company to the No. 2 position in the Annual National Customer Satisfaction Survey & Audit by a nationally-known IT Magazine within 3 years [from a position of nonentity] and further to the Numero-Uno slot the next year......competing with well-known names in the Indian IT industry [some of which still exist today].My next role @ OMC Computers was as Manager--Defense/Special Projects.My responsibilities here included Program management of Defense & Aerospace Hardware/Software & Sub-systems Design Projects related to the Integrated Guided Missile Development Program, Under-water weapon applications, Fighter Aircraft Simulators, etc. This was essentially a Multi-faceted & multi-dimensional role--encompassing areas like Embedded Hardware/Software/Firmware D&D, Product Engineering, ensuring adherence to the various MIL Standards/Practices, Pre-Sales back-end support, Post-sales client relationships, enhancing quality of solutions to primarily inter-disciplinary issues/problems, etc.

    Began my career @ NTPC as an Executive Trainee--V Batch. Worked in Water Treatment Plant of 200 MW Thermal Power plant for a short duration after which was moved to the Data Acquisition Systems Group of 200 MW Thermal Plants [supplied by Westinghouse Electric]--the FIRST Real-time DAS installed & commissioned in the country. II stint @ NTPC was into handling the complete Annual C&I Overhauling activities of the 200 MW Boilers & ancillary units.III stint @ NTPC was as the Overall In-charge of the Commissioning Team of the 500 MW Boiler Controls & Instrumentation--the FIRST 500 MW Thermal Unit installed & commissioned in the country.
