I predominantly concentrate on the maximization of growth or income generation for my client’s, by investing across a diverse range of both UK and International Equities and Fixed Interest Securities whilst concentrating at all times on the mitigation of tax payable.Within Santander’s total UK client facing advisor population of 700+ Financial Advisors, I have always performed to the highest standards within both performance and risk control measurements and to date I have never fallen outside of Santander’s top ten financial planning advisors in the UK – last quarter for example I finished 5th in the UK.

Account Manager

Nov 1995 - Apr 2001

Birmingham, United Kingdom
I was responsible for the management of bespoke recruitment solutions for new and existing clients within the plastics, rubber, packaging and print related industries.Key objectives were to build partnership relations, providing clients with a 'one stop' strategy for human resource and management consultancy issues. As a retained recruiter I was in the fortunate position of not having to compete in the ruthless world of ‘contingency recruitment’ and my role was one of building the client relationship to a position whereby the client sought our services for all of their senior management appointments. I specialised within the placement of senior general management and technically based personnel into key strategic positions within international 'Blue Chip' corporations.I worked across a broad section of industry sectors from Food, Tobacco, Pharmaceuticals, Automotive and General Engineering; whereby I had full autonomy regarding the negotiation of fees and on-going contracts. Two of my main clients included the global engineering giant Husky and Field Packaging; a Gravure Print specialist within the Tobacco sector providing carton manufacture for Gallagher, Rothmans and Phillip Morris. One of the highlights of my tenure with Listgrove, was the establishment of a two year sole supply recruitment contract with Fenner Engineering; a 'first tier' automotive component supplier. Turnover generated over the contract acquainted to over £120,000 sterling.

Feb 1992 - Nov 1995

Selby, South Yorkshire
Commencing full time employment following my graduation from University, I was recruited onto the Hazlewood Graduate Trainee Programme which I completed after 2 years, upon which I was seconded around the group working across all disciplines of food manufacture from Production, Technical, Purchasing, Logistics, Finance and Commercial which I subsequently specialised within. Working within the Commercial department, I graduated to become a Brand and Product Manager for the Bottling Division based in Selby, North Yorkshire and I worked closely with our retail based customers such as Marks and Spencer, Sainsbury’s, Asda and Tesco developing their ‘own label’ ranges of sauces and preserves and working closely to develop a strong brand identity through innovative packaging and printing concepts. As well as concentrating on product ranges for the major multiples, I helped develop and re-brand the Epicure label; an old brand that had stagnated, to become a specialist tertiary label now sold through prestigious outlets such as Fortnum and Mason and Selfridges. The establishment of many innovative Trade Marketing campaigns subsequently led to an increase in the rate and volume of purchase, account profitability and stock turn and margins by on average 30% for the division.
