Advised a bespoke retail outlet on a business turnaround strategy:o Conducted an “as-is” analysis of business operations and identified weaknesses in internal controls such as financial management processes and procedures, ad hoc cash management processes, undefined business systems, inconsistent hiring practices, weak performance management systems, minimal inventory management procedures, non-standardised training and development practices. o Developed a robust business turnaround roadmap which covered improvements to financial operations, digitisation of the inventory management frameworks to plug leakages and opportunities for fraud, robust financial management processes and procedures including use of P&L statements, monthly financial reporting, invoice and expense tracking, etc.o Analysed and developed human capital processes and procedures with clear segregation of duties.
