    Full Professor in the School of Business at Baldwin Wallace University. Activities include teaching the undergraduate and graduate capstone courss in Strategic Management. My involvement in the Management MBA, Executive MBA, Health Care MBA and the Master of Public Health degree programs includes teaching courses in Systems Thinking & Organizational Design, Leadership & Teams, and Strategic Management. I worked closely with the Chair of the Public Health department in the School of Health Sciences and the Director of the Health Care MBA in the School of Business to design a Leadership Track for the Master in Public Health graduate program. Various support roles were also a part of this position, and included preparing for the Higher Learning Commission's 2008 review of Baldwin Wallace University for the segment "Student Learning and Teaching Effectiveness." Participation on University committees included Faculty Senate President, and the creation of the University's Faculty Senate Governance Structure, moving from a total faculty governance system to the senate model. Other University committee involvement included Promotion & Tenure, establishing the committee for Faculty Concerns, Assessment, and awarding sabbaticals and monies for faculty grants. School of Business committee participation focused on curriculum review and approval, program review, search committees, and faculty chair.

    Program evaluation, design and assessment are three major foci of this position. The main duties involve overseeing all MBA programs in the School of Business, including program review, establishing Student Learning Outcomes, major objectives, course objectives, common texts/syllabi etc. Included is leading executive advisory councils relevant to the various MBA programs. New graduate program development, both within and in concert with other Baldwin Wallace University Schools, will be an emphasis in this position. Course assessment is the third major focus, and this involves the creation of assessment plans at the program and course levels. Faculty involvement in the design, development and execution of assessment is part of this responsibility, in addition to the ongoing monitoring, summarizing, evaluating and redefining of assessment plans. Working in conjunction with the Department Chairs within the School of Business, this position involves the review of course offerings and making recommendations to improve efficiencies, manage overloads, and other course coverage concerns for new and existing academic programs. It also involves the review of graduate adjunct faculty performance.

    Responsibilities included the evaluation of courses and programs (majors and minors) in the areas of health care management, management, and business administration. During this time, the major emphasis was revising the School of Business undergraduate health care major and incorporating courses across the University to include Health and Physical Education and Public Health. One next step in this field is evaluating the efficacy of offering an integrated major in health care management and public health. In the field of management, new technology is always offering new opportunities for creative teaching and learning, whether it be inside or outside the classroom. The use of simulation and virtual reality software provides unique classroom learning situations and can enhance student experiences. Introducing business simulations in introductory courses is being evaluated as a way of enhancing the learning capabilities of students.

    On a weekly basis, this position involved setting the agenda and leading Faculty Senate and Senate Executive Committee meetings. Included was working with Faculty Senators who represented eight Schools within Baldwin Wallace University. This position also involved working the the University Provost to identify and implement changes to various University and School structures, including salary evaluation and the core curriculum. Other activities included creating new faculty lines (practitioner faculty), implementing a tenured faculty "Promotion in Rank" process, and working with Faculty Affairs to created a streamlined Senate Model with a Senate Executive committee. President Cabinet involvement included participating in weekly meetings with the University President and Vice Presidents implementing the University's strategic plan.

    As Business Honors Director, responsibilities are twofold. First is the recruiting of students into the Business Honors Program, and working with faculty to provide courses relevant to the area of sustainability and disruptive technology implementation. Second, we invite students and alumni to become members of the Business Honors Society, hold an annual induction ceremony, and provide programming and other opportunities to members.
